On January 13, NBFARS celebrated 62 years of service and the swearing in of 2018 officers at the annual installation dinner at Ria-Mar in South River.
This years theme was Masquerade Ball! Members were seen in glamorous masks at the photo booth and on the dance floor. Chief Steinman was awarded for his 35 years of dedicated service and had everyone on their feet honoring his hard work.
Operations Captain Robert “RJ” Robinson was awarded the prestigious Frank Georgianna Volunteer of the Year Award for his continuous service towards the advancement of NBFARS on all fronts. RJ spent time in the past year teaching our newest rescue technicians and working on logistics hand in hand with the Chief, all while putting in 822 hours on the ambulance. Many of our members were awarded for various accomplishments like becoming rescue technicians, 5 years of service, and more. After dinner, members had a good time on the dance floor and at the bar, taking a break from service for one night. Posts from the night can be found using #NBFARSMasquerade
